Hallowed Ground Magazine: The Battle of Fredericksburg

As we approach the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Fredericksburg, Emerging Civil War will be delving into the inner workings of one of the most lopsided victories of the American Civil War. To kick off our Fredericksburg coverage, Chris Mackowski and I are proud to attach a link to our new article in Hallowed Ground Magazine. The article, “Before the Slaughter,” looks at the December 11th, 1862 battle for the Upper Crossing at Fredericskburg.

We would like to thank the Mary Koik at the Civil War Trust for allowing us to write the article for them. Be sure to check out the the rest of this quarter’s issue for more articles on Fredericksburg and Stones River. (Click here to read our article.)
