ECW Week in Review June 12-18

We’ve had another busy week at Emerging Civil War. Our series, “My Favorite Historical Person,” continues and our authors observed anniversaries of the Battle of Trevilian Station and the Gettysburg Campaign. You may click on the hyperlinks to read the posts.

Kevin Pawlak, Meg Groeling, Dwight Hughes, Sarah Kay Bierle, and Ryan Quint all contributed to “My Favorite Historical Person”. We also had a post from guest author Frank Jastrzembski  also contributed. Sarah also added a post on designing the series header.

Rob Orrison and Dan Welch observed the anniversary of the Gettysburg Campaign with posts on fighting in the Loudoun Valley. Correspondingly, Dan Davis added a piece on the second day at Trevilian Station.

Guest author Michael Aubrecht discussed executions in the Confederate Army.

Sarah Kay Bierle provided a recap of Gazette665’s 2017 Conference.

Chris Mackowski was on location, twice, at the site of Leonidas Polk’s death outside Atlanta.
