A Father’s Legacy: Simon Bolivar Buckner Sr. and Jr.

On January 8, 1914, Simon Bolivar Buckner died. He was the last surviving Confederate lieutenant general, and was buried in Frankfort, Kentucky’s cemetery with considerable ceremony.
