Caroline Davis
Caroline Davis earned her BA in History from Ball State University with minors in political science and philosophy. She earned her Masters in Historical Preservation with a concentration in Public History at Georgia State University. Caroline has worked at Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park, George Washington Birthplace National Memorial Park, Vicksburg National Military Park, The C&O Canal National Park, Stones River National Battlefield and The George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. She is now the executive director at the Northern Appalachian Coal Mining Heritage Association and the Museum Director of the Marion County Historical Society in Fairmont, WV. Her research interests include the Civil War navies, Morgan’s Raiders, the Union blockade of the Confederacy, and civilian experience.
