150th Anniversary of the Overland Campaign-Symposium Update
We wanted to take a moment and thank our readers for following along with our 150th Anniversary coverage of the 1864 Overland Campaign. We hope that you have enjoyed the many posts that we have written. Our goal has been to put our collective knowledge on the campaign to good use. In the full disclosure of shameless self-promotion, we have great things in store for our First Annual Emerging Civil War Symposium at Stevenson Ridge.
Friday nights roundtable discussion will give our readers the opportunity to get to know our authors better, while giving participants the chance to pick our collective brains on all topics American Civil War.
On Saturday of the event, we have a full slate of lectures covering many aspects of the 1864 battles and politics.
Sunday you will take to the fields and tour many of the areas we have been covering over the last two weeks. The Wilderness and Spotsylvania Court House Battlefields have many hidden corners and countless stories of heroism and horror.
The all inclusive price for the weekend event is $55.00. Proceeds from the event benefit battlefield preservation.
