Modern Photography: The View From Lookout Mountain

When the photo series began, the pictures that jumped to mind first were from my trip to Chattanooga, TN.  From atop Lookout Mountain, it seems like the whole world is at your feet.

The gateway is impressive enough, but you are never quite prepared for the view you encounter on the other side.

Although it is a bit difficult to discern, Missionary Ridge is way off in the distance, barely a ripple on the landscape.

This is the view looking west.

The Tennessee River looks like little more than a beautiful blue ribbon.
