Symposium Spotlight: 2023 Accommodations Update
It’s probably about the time to be considering where to stay if you’re joining us at the 2023 Emerging Civil War Symposium for the weekend of August 4-6. So here are a few updates and suggestions!
First, the cabins at Stevenson Ridge are booked. These accommodations typically sell-out a year in advance.
Second, we’ve had to alter our typical event plans slightly when it comes to hotels. The good news is that there are still plenty of good hotels in business, but not-so-great news is that it’s been hard to set up a block-room option for the event in this “post-Covid world” (or whatever we’re calling it, these days).
So, for this year, we’ve decided to give some suggestions and let you make your preferred choice and reservations. We strongly recommend staying the area known as “Fredericksburg Southpoint” since the hotels there will be your closest options to Stevenson Ridge! Here are a few options and ideas:

There are a numerous other hotels in the Fredericksburg Southpoint area, so don’t feel limited by these listed options. We’re just adding these to try to be helpful!
