It’s time for our obligatory annual post reminding you that Symposium tickets make the perfect stocking stuffers!
Yes, every December, we publish a post that touts tickets as a perfect gift that can slip right into any Civil War buff’s stocking. It’s become as much of a holiday tradition around here as Meg Groeling’s post about the Longfellow poem “I Heard the Bells.” It’s such a holiday trope, it could be its own Christmas movie on the Hallmark channel.

Our theme this year is “Cities of War.”
Early bird tickets are only $275.00 now through the end of the year (and then regular price kicks in). A ticket covers all three days of the event—August 1–3, 2025—with a line up of speakers that includes keynote Hal Holzer plus a Sunday morning tour of downtown Fredericksburg from historian John Hennessey.
