2026 Emerging Civil War Symposium Tickets Now on Sale
We’re pleased to announce that the 12th Annual Emerging Civil War Symposium will be held at Stevenson Ridge, August 7–9, 2026, in Spotsylvania, Virginia. Our theme for the 2026 ECW Symposium is “Partnerships and Rivalries.” Our keynote speakers will be Harold Holzer and Craig Symonds.
Aside from our great line-up of speakers, a number of our ECW authors will be on hand to meet folks and sell books. We’ll have our popular used book sale as well as our raffle, silent auction, plus, we’ll have some new ECW swag available!
A limited number of tickets for the Symposium are available for early bird purchase. The cost for early bird tickets is $275.00 for the full weekend. To register, click here.
Early bird registration will be available through December 31, 2025. Regular registration will be available from January 1, 2026, until sold out.

The just-concluded ECW Symposium, themed “The Cities of War,” was excellent in both the quality of the speakers and quantity of content. With 11 (that’s not a typo) speakers, plus a marvelous Sunday tour of Fredericksburg by expert John Hennessy, the experience was well worth the price. Join to that a comfortable facility, good food, great comradeship, and tremendous book sales, and it added up to a memorable weekend.
