2025 Year in Review #9: Reviewing an Open Letter About Lee

Our list of top-ten posts from 2025 includes several guest authors. As we mentioned in a post earlier today, we’re extremely proud of our mission to promote “emerging voices” in the field.

The first guest author to appear on our list comes in at #9. It’s a book review by Jonathan W. Peters published on February 27, 2025: “Book Review: Un-Cancel Robert E. Lee: An Open Letter to the Trustees of Washington and Lee University.”

The review itself was not without controversy—unsurprising considering the controversial nature of the book itself and the situation the book was responding to.

Jonathan serves as an administrative assistant at Reformation Bible Church and Harford Christian School in Darlington, Maryland.
