Continued C-SPAN 3 Coverage of Fourth Annual Emerging Civil War Symposium

Last week, we announced that C-SPAN 3 would air talks from this year’s Fourth Annual Emerging Civil War Symposium. Their coverage will continue this weekend. Kelly Mezurek’s presentation, “Rebel Soldiers and Darkies on Guard over Them! Race, Retaliation, and Black Soldiers as Civil War Sentinels” will debut at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Her talk will re-air Sunday morning at 6 a.m. Coverage continues later in the morning at 8 a.m. with a re-air of Kris White’s overview of Civil War defenses, followed at 8:45 with Kevin Pawlak’s talk on Robert E. Lee’s defense at Antietam. Matt Atkinson’s discussion of the Confederate defense of Vicksburg will re-air Sunday night at 6:55 p.m.
