ECW Week in Review: 8-14 January

We’ve had another busy week here at ECW. Our authors continue to produce great content, we had an update on the upcoming site migration, and we continued our Symposium Spotlight series (tickets are available here). You may click on the links below to read each post.

Our site migration to a single server has been rescheduled to the week of 22 January.

This week’s Symposium Spotlight was on Greg Mertz.

Chris Mackowski shared some information from his archives on Virginia’s Lee-Jackson Day. He also went On Location in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Chris Kolakowski offered some perspective on September 17.

Similarly, Phill Greenwalt highlighted January 10, 1861 in Florida.

Edward Alexander discussed his search for one of the couriers who accompanied A.P. Hill on the fateful morning of April 2, 1865, along with information he had found from another of Hill’s couriers.

We also shared news that Stafford County, Virginia resident D.P. Newton received the Central Virginia Battlefields Trust Dr. Michael A. Stevens Preservation Award.

Guest author Rob Wilson returned with a post on Christmas in January.
