ECW’s August Newsletter Now Available

Aug 2016 headerEmerging Civil War’s August newsletter is now available. You’ll find a recap of some of our 5th anniversary celebrations, as well as a quick preview of some of our upcoming projects and initiatives. We have “10 Questions with…” featuring Edward Alexander, plus news and notes (a baby Orrison, anyone?), a new title on the ECW bookshelf, and more.

If you haven’t seen it, there’s a link at the very top of the newsletter that’ll let you subscribe. However, if you think you’re already on the list and still didn’t get it, check your spam filter to see if you have anything from emergingcivilwar@gmail.com sitting in your junk mail. (We promise, we’re not junk mail!)

At the top of each newsletter, we’ll include a photo from a battlefield or historic site somewhere. In this post, you’re looking at this month’s photo. Can you guess where it was taken?

The photo from last month’s newsletter was taken…

…along the Civil War Trust’s walking trail at Payne’s Farm–part of the Mine Run Campaign–in Locust Grove.
