Symposium Roundtable Panel
Our Friday evening tradition at the Emerging Civil War Symposium is to have our roundtable discussion panel, emceed by Dr. Chris Mackowski.
This years panel discussion will revolve around “Great defenses of the Civil War.” Topics will include the changing tactics and technology of the Civil War, as well as other great defensive battles including Fredericksburg, Cold Harbor, Franklin, and more….
We are proud to announce the panelist’s for the roundtable will include:
- Dr. Brian Matthew Jordan: Symposium Keynote Speaker, Assistant Professor of History at Sam Houston University, and author of Unholy Sabbath: The Battle of South Mountain in History and Memory, September 14, 1862.
- Paige Gibbons-Backus: Historian at Ben Lomond Historic Site, Prince William County, VA
- Phill Greenwalt: National Park Service historian, editor-in-chief of Emerging Revolutionary War, and author of three Emerging Civil War Series books
- Steward Henderson: Seasonal Ranger/Historian at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park
- Christopher Kolakowski: Director of the MacArthur Memorial and the author of The Civil War at Perryville: Battling For the Bluegrass
