“Brains” on the Battlefield
I saw this patch of fungus in front of Fredericksburg’s Stone Wall on Thursday afternoon. I couldn’t tell if it looked like a brain or a floral bouquet. In any event, it was fascinating enough to me that I figured I’d snap a picture and share.
I am always amazed at the variety of floral and fauna (and fungus) I see when I’m out on the battlefields–even here, essentially right out the front door of the battlefield visitor center. The battlefields continually offer us cool things to consider.
My first thought was a pile of skulls when looking at it on my phone.
