Saving History Saturday: American Battlefield Trust Offers New ECW Shiloh Book for Supporters

Mertz’s newest ECW book on Shiloh is used by the Trust to encourage more donations to save acreage at Shiloh and South Mountain.

In honor of the Battle of Shiloh’s 157th anniversary this weekend, the American Battlefield Trust announced its latest campaign to save 73 acres of hallowed ground at two significant 1862 battles: Shiloh and South Mountain. To save these two critical battlefields, the Trust hopes to raise $103,000 from private donations.

To encourage more donations, the Trust has a very special offer. Each donor who gives $62 or more to this specific campaign will receive Emerging Civil War Series’ newest release, Greg Mertz’s Attack at Daylight and Whip Them: The Battle of Shiloh, April 6-7, 1862. This Special Preservation Edition is also signed by Mertz and numbered. Now, supporters can also learn all about one of the battlefields they just saved.
