  1. The flag of the 2nd and 6th Missouri Infantry (CS) currently held in the Missouri State Museum. The battle honors on it encompass a large part of the war in the Trans-Mississippi and Western theatres.

  2. The 11th New York Fire Zouaves! Fire helmets, axes, it’s got it all. The fringing is beautiful–an alternating red-white-blue patters, Huzzah! I wish we could posy images for this.

  3. I’m not sure if a Republic of Louisiana flag was ever used by a Louisiana Regiment, but a damn cool looking flag it was.

The Pelican flags were cool too. I get the Texas and North Carolina flags mixed up, which is sad. The Palmetto flag is nice. Mississippis’ flags have always been kind of weird. All the Northern flags look kind of the same. Very boring. The North’s best regimental flag was the Stars and Stripes… pure class. USA! USA! USA!

If New Mexico regiments flew the Zuni sun flag they would win hands down.
