Tracing the Overland Campaign

Overland Campaign 155th

Last year, to commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Overland Campaign, ECW did a number of video projects tracing the movement of the armies from the Rapidan River down to Cold Harbor. Some of those projects appeared on the ECW YouTube page; others we did in conjunction with the American Battlefield Trust.

If you’re trapped in lock-down, looking for some good Civil War material to watch, you can see a full recap of our coverage here, which contains links to all the videos. (For the segments that appear on Facebook, you don’t need to be a Facebook member to watch them.)

  1. I thoroughly enjoyed watching those videos when they aired live. It helped give a lot of context when we visited the locations later that year.
