Preserving the Story of One of the Most Famous Towns in America
Last night, we shared the exciting news from Gettysburg about a new home for the Adams County Historical Society (ACHS). The ACHS is launching a campaign to build a new $5 million Exhibit, Archive, and Education Center near Barlow Knoll.
ECW is pleased to share an exclusive interview with Executive Director Andrew Dalton, who spent some time earlier this week chatting with me about the project.
While Adams County is best known for the three-day battle that took place in Gettysburg in July 1863, the story of the town and surrounding area is far more extensive. As Andrew makes clear, the ACHS’s current facilities, which house the artifacts and archives that tell this incredible story, are in dire need of replacement.
