Exploring Gettysburg with Sue Boardman (part two)
part two in a series
My trip around Gettysburg National Military Park with Licensed Battlefield Guide Sue Boardman continues. In today’s segment, we go from Pardee Field at the base of Culp’s Hill up to the top of the hill–Sue’s very favorite place on the battlefield–to talk about some of the monuments and units up there. Sue also talks about some of the important landscape restoration work on tap for Culp’s Hill, which will dramatically reshape people’s understanding of the battlefield.
Another great video. Thank you Chris
Sue is such a wonderful story teller. Thanks for organizing these presentations, Chris.
Sue really knows the Wesley Culp story like few others, such as the unusual places he fought and where he might have perished. The tour takes the visitor to locations on the battlefield rarely visited.
Sue Boardman is a treasure.
That’s a good way to put it. These two videos are great. As an aside, the qualification test to be a licensed guide at Gettysburg must be brutal. I saw a sample once of five questions on the test and could only hit one out of five and I know a fair amount about the battle.
