ECW’s June 2021 Newsletter now available

The June 2021 ECW newsletter went out this morning. Did you get your copy? If not, you missed:

  • news on the new ECW 10th Anniversary Series, including our first release, available now
  • Grant’s Left Hook taking a swing from the ECW Bookshelf
  • ten answers to “10 questions” by Sean Michael Chick, including cameos by PGT Beauregard and Benjamin “Beast” Butler
  • a new Emerging Rev War book, The Winter that Won the War: Valley Forge, available this summer
  • plus, News & Notes and more!

AND, word on the street is that there are about a dozen tickets available for the ECW Symposium at Stevenson Ridge, August 6-9. We had to suspend ticket sales because of COVID restrictions, but with restrictions in Virginia now lifted, we’re able to let a few more people in the door. We’ve had a lot of inquiries about availability over the last few months, so tickets may go fast. Tickets are $175 each and are available here.

If you didn’t get your copy, you can read it by clicking here. Even better, click the big blue button at the top of our newsletter that says “Join Our Email List” to ensure you get your monthly newsletter delivered automatically. We’d love to keep in contact with you that way! (If you think you should’ve gotten the newsletter but didn’t, please check your spam filer and junk mail folder to be sure we didn’t get misdirected!)

While you’re at it, don’t forget to follow ECW on Facebook, Instagram (@Emergingcwblog), and YouTube. Please share and like our pages.

  1. As an American Civil War hobbyist who has been interested in it since discovering an original edition of Miller’s 50tieth Anniversary Photographic History of the Civil War in my school’s library having spent years in Europe walking battlefields of the Napoleonic wars I have a Question that links the two. What are the similarities between that of Quatre Bras, a prelude to the battle of Waterloo and the delaying engagements on South Mountain, a prelude to the battle of Antietam?
