John Sedgwick, 2022

I took time today, as I’m apt to do, to visit the site of John Sedgwick’s wounding on the anniversary of the event. It was a beautiful day to be out on the battlefield.

We tend to give Uncle John’s death a lot of attention on this site, mostly because of the physical proximity several of us have to the Spotsylvania Court House battlefield. Here are some of our past reflections.
