Symposium Spotlight: Getting Ready for 2023

We’re starting the annual Symposium Spotlight blog posts to share announcements and keep you updated with what’s new in the preparations for Emerging Civil War’s Ninth Symposium at Stevenson Ridge (Spotsylvania, Virginia). We hope you’ll join us on August 4-6, 2023 as we explore the theme “1863: The Great Task Before Us.”

And here are answers to a few Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Can I book a cabin at Stevenson Ridge? 

A: You can always call (information on our Symposium Page) and see if there is an opening or a cancellation, but these accommodations typically sell out a year in advance.

Q: Will there be a discounted hotel room option?

A: Yes! As usual, we will set this up just after the first of the new year and we’ll make the announcement here on the blog, symposium page, and in an email.

Q: When are you releasing the speaker list?

A: Watch the Wednesday morning blog posts “Symposium Spotlight” to meet your 2023 speakers. We’ll also send out the full list to registered guests shortly.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Full refunds are available through June 1, 2023, minus a $20 service charge. From June 1-30, a 50% refund is available. After July 1, no refunds.
