Symposium Spotlight: Kevin Pawlak

Welcome back to a new installment of our 2023 Emerging Civil War Symposium Spotlight as we continue announcing the speaker list! This week we feature ECW member, Kevin Pawlak.
Kevin Pawlak is a Historic Site Manager for the Prince William Office of Historic Preservation, where he manages Ben Lomond Historic Site and Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park. He also serves as a Licensed Battlefield Guide at Antietam National Battlefield and Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Kevin is the author of six books on the American Civil War. He co-leads the longest running Mosby tour in the United States alongside Rob Orrison. The two co-authored “‘His Information Was Always Accurate and Reliable’: John S. Mosby and the Beginning of the Gettysburg Campaign” in theĀ Gettysburg Magazine.

  1. I have known Kevin for some time and have listened to many of his presentations throughout the past years. I went on a Mosby tour he led last year. He is a terrific speaker, very enthusiastic and engaging, very personable and always willing to answer questions. He is a young man with a passion for history and most knowledgeable about Civil War events, John Mosby and local history. I always enjoy talking to him. We are most fortunate to have him in our area.
