American Civil War & U.K. History: October 2023
Here’s what our friend, Darren Rawlings, was up to in October on his site American Civil War & U.K. History:
Gettysburg: The Movie podcast—Gettysburg celebrated its 30th anniversary in October, and it’s because of the movie that I became interested in the American Civil War. You could say it was like a gateway drug for me, so it was important that I commemorated the anniversary. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to interview Brian Mallon, who played General Hancock in both Gettysburg and Gods and Generals. (Listen here.)
In other news, American Civil War & UK History has launched a new website to accompany the podcast. The site will also feature a blog post section I’ve recently started—something I didn’t think I would ever do. I find writing very enjoyable, so it’s the start of a new journey for me.
