Coming in at #5 is our long-distance dedication. Confederate Lt. Gen. Richard Ewell was on his way to prison camp in Boston, Massachusetts, when he head news of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination. In response, Ewell wrote a letter to the victorious U.S. general–the very same man who put him in prison irons.
