Our National Cemeteries: Conclusion

Fort Harrison National Cemetery

The month of May held special meaning to the contributors and authors of Emerging Civil War. Memorial Day brought forth special observations of our national cemeteries. Within the walls of these cemeteries, lie the stories of many people, places and events that we often study as historians.

The authors of each post in the “Our National Cemeteries Series” have spent a few moments reflecting and taking the reader on a virtual field trip to many of these beloved burial grounds. In case you missed it, here is a quick recap of each post in the series. Thank you to the authors who participated, and to you, Faithful Reader, for sharing this journey.
