2024 Year in Review: ECW’s Social Media

2024 has been a busy year for the social media team here at Emerging Civil War. In February, Darren Rawlings joined the team to help with the operations. Then, in March, Social Media Manager Paige Gibbons Backus stepped down due to some exciting news: She was expecting a baby! That lead Darren to step up into the position of manager.

Darren got to work quickly, bringing on Evan Portman to the team. Later, in August, Tyler McGraw (the Unfiltered Historian) and Tim Willging also joined our team.

We had a strong presence at the 10th Annual Symposium, where we conducted 19 interviews, which you can see on the ECW YouTube page. Additionally, we hosted two Facebook Live events, both of which are also available on the ECW YouTube channel.

Combined, our social media channels gathered more than two million impressions in 2024—but we can always use your help to expand that even more. Please share, like, and subscribe!
