ECW Welcomes Devan Sommerville
ECW is pleased to welcome a new member.
Devan Sommerville is a consultant lobbyist based in his native Canada, living in Toronto, Ontario with his wife and son.
With a passionate interest in the American Civil War and period since childhood, he holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Toronto. Prior to his current profession, he spent nearly five years as a political aide for the Premier of Ontario and Ministers of the Ontario Government.
With an interest in the conflict that spans the pastures, woods, rivers and creeks (whether Antietam or Wilson’s) of 19th Century America, Devan enjoys illuminating underexamined moments, individuals and stories that shaped this defining period in American history.
