I collected in my youth two complete sets of Topps Civil War Trading Cards. As an adult I collect books, books and more books on the Civil War. Close to 1700 in my home library along with CW prints and miniatures of soldiers.
Maps.
Actually, reproductions of the official military maps ordered by congress after the wars end.
I do have some artifacts like bullets and buttons. Nothing unique, but definitely from battlefields nearby like Cold Harbor.
Minature civil war soldiers and accessories. I have dioramas of Fort Stevens and Grant’s Headquarters in my office. I announce to those observing my reproduction of the Forst Stevens engagement, “That is the closest the Confederate flag came to the Nation’s Capitol before January 6, 2021.
I have about a dozen Confederate bills and would like to have more. I admire the artwork. I also have several old maps of Manassas/Bull Run and Gettysburg plus some engravings culled from Harpers Weekly. I need to get those framed!
I have a remarkable array of named objects from various of my 25 ancestors who served on both sides. Prized amongst them are three astonishing diaries, one from the Army of the Potomac, one from the Army of the Cumberland, one from the Army of Northern Virginia.
I have several areas of interest in my collection.
Antiquarian Civil War first edition books. Biographies, battle histories, regimentals, monument dedications, veteran society publications, and pre-CW Centennial first edition histories and biographies.
I collect brown water navy letters and document’s
I collect CDV’s, army and navy including a collection of brown water navy CdVs.
I also collect GAR & UCV ribbons and badges, connected to the battlefields that I live near and support through the Trusts and Friends groups. I specifically collect ribbons and badges for POW, navy, regiment survivor associations, and regiment and corp monument dedications.
Books, more books and even more books. I also have a few bullets, Confederate currency, Confederate war bonds, a small collection of photos and I recently acquired a set of Lieutenant’s shoulder boards. Among the books I’ve been collecting individual volumes of the Official Records. Would love to find some greenbacks.

I am very jealous of your library! I have quite a considerable collection of ACW books in pdf form, but nothing beats the physical copies.

I have a Springfield 1863 rifle with ramrod and bayonet and a 1864 NCO sword. I also have minie balls and an assortment of camp finds.
