I Heard The Bells – An ECW Tradition Continues

In 2011 Meg Groeling posted an article about Henry W. Longfellow’s poem I Hear The Bells on Christmas Day and it quickly became an ECW classic which we enjoy featuring every December 25th.

This year especially we hope you take time to reflect, “hear the bells,” and find hope for the coming year.

Original Blog Post: “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day” (2011)

And in despair I bowed my head;
“There is no peace on Earth, “ I said:
“For Hate is strong,
And mocks the song
Of peace on Earth, goodwill to men!”

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
“God is not dead; nor doth He sleep!
The Wrong shall fail,
The Right prevail,
With peace on Earth, goodwill to men!
