Symposium Spotlight: Sean Michael Chick

In this week’s edition of our 2021 Emerging Civil War Symposium Spotlight, we feature Sean Michael Chick. If you haven’t had the chance to get to know Sean yet, read on to learn more about this historian. We can’t wait to hear his presentation this year!

Sean Michael Chick is a New Orleans native. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of New Orleans and a Master of Arts from Southeastern Louisiana University. He is currently a New Orleans tour guide who offers guided tours of city sites. He has written pieces for Country Roads, NOLA Defender, Paper Wars, and the Emerging Civil War blog. His first two books were The Battle of Petersburg, June 15-18, 1864 and Grant’s Left Hook: The Bermuda Hundred Campaign, May 5-June 7, 1864.
