2023 Year in Review: #2.5

We’re counting down the ten most-read posts published in 2023, and we have a late entry in the field that’s shaking things up in the last days of year!

Back in 2020, Editor-in-Chief Chris Mackowski published a post on December 22 titled “Deer Discovery Atop Marye’s Heights.” Over the course of the last ten days of the year, the post rocketed into 2020’s Top Ten, landing at #9.

This year, we’ve had something similar happen with a post published on December 21, 2023 by Chief Historian Cecily Nelson Zander. Her post hasn’t just cracked the Top Ten, but it’s all the way up to #2.5. (It would be #3, but at the time we started the countdown, the post wasn’t yet close to the threshold. By the time you read this, it may already have surpassed #2, which we’ll unveil later today.)
