On the Road to Atlanta: Who’s in charge? by Dave Powell, posted on September 17, 2025.

All three of these articles epitomize what I love most in an Emerging Civil War article: a well-sourced, well-written dive into a fascinating corner of the war that hasn’t received much recognition or exploration.
