Happy One-Year Anniversary!
Happy one-year anniversary!
Today marks the one year anniversary of the launching of Emerging Civil War. It’s hard to believe in one year that we have amassed over 150,000 reads, of nearly 400 articles, from sixteen authors. We cannot thank our readership enough for supporting our efforts in the past year, and we hope to continue to bring you posts of the highest quality in the years to come.
Here is a link to the first article published by our site, Some General Thoughts on Major General George A. Custer.
Again from all of us at Emerging Civil War, thank you!
Happy birthday and congratulations! I have enjoyed your first year and look forward to the years ahead! I have really enjoyed watching some of the younger authors develop in their craft and they definitely have a future as historians and writers. All of you do a fine job and I must say thank YOU for the effort you put into the articles and photos. ECW is a fine addition to American Civil War scholarship. Well done!
Congratulations to all of you at Emerging Civil War, and to us readers for being linked in. It is truly a privilege to enjoy and learn the invaluable information and insights that you share with us. Please keep up the good work–we appreciate it!!!!
I am deeply indebted to the work of our writers and the loyalty of our readers–but most of all, I am extremely grateful for the leadership and energy of co-founder Kris White, who has really turned this blog into something special. Congrats to all, and especially congrats to Kris!
Congratulations on your anniversary- it is a great blog, keep up the good work!
Thank you to everyone for all of the kind words. We truly appreciate all of the support of all of our readers. I would like to thank our great authors, some of whom I would love to see more from, hint, hint.
Thanks to Chris Mackowski for co-founding this great venture and coming up with the format. Thank you to Chris as well for keeping many of us motivated and for kicking us in our butt’s to keep researching and writing, when it may be the last thing on our minds.
We hope you all will keep reading. We have some great topics coming up in the fall and winter. I will finally finish my Forgotten 5th Corps series. We also have some great posts covering the Seven Days, Second Bull Run, Antietam and Fredericksburg.
Again many thanks to everyone.
