Who do you believe was the superior corps commander, Jackson or Longstreet ?

  1. I would say Longstreet. Jackson was mercurial and erratic at times. Longstreet might have been guilty of taking his time but when he needed to be in position for defense or attack you could always count on him,

  2. Longstreet. He was more consistent, actually made sure his subordinates understood his plan and orders, and, last but not least, was more sane.
