Keeping Tradition… “I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day”

One of the ever-popular Christmas blog posts on Emerging Civil War is Meg Groeling’s article about Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and his war era poem that became a holiday song.

As we come to the end of a day that is usually celebrated with time-honored traditions from religious services to opening packages, family time, cookies, stockings, and more, we’re pleased to continue the ECW tradition of remember the bells of Christmas Day in 1863.

“I Heard The Bells on Christmas Day…”

We hope you have had a day filled with “peace and goodwill.”
