2018 Year In Review: Working Together To Teach History

At ECW, we’re proud of the networking and opportunities to work closely with preservation and education groups in the history community. Whether it’s giving preservation efforts a spotlight, volunteering, or participating at special events, Emerging Civil War enjoys partnering to share and teach about America’s decisive conflict.

In 2018 we regularly shared campaigns and victories from Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation, Central Virginia Battlefield Trust, American Battlefield Trust, and other preservation groups as part of our weekend blog posts.

Two particular highlights in our partnerships and networking were Teacher Institute with American Battlefield Trust and the Civil War Round Table Congress. You’ll find links below to read about these special events and how we got to participate!

Along with networking, we certainly had fun working the American Battlefield Trust on their Facebook LIVE projects during battle anniversaries and even got inspired to do a few LIVE videos of our own during the Symposium.
