Veterans Day
Happy Veterans Day!
ECW sends sincere gratitude to the men and women who have served in the United States armed forces. Thank you for defending the legacy of freedom and helping to make that precious gift of liberty a reality at home and for others around the world.
Part of my family plot at St. Josephs Cemetery, which is less than a mile from UVM.
I go there twice a year to place a flag at my ancestors grave on Memorial Day, and Veterans Day. When I do this, I do not see any other flags there as this Cemetery, despite the location, seems to be forgotten.
Unfortunately due to all the litigation against the Catholic Church, they no longer have the funds to properly care for this hallowed ground. There are lots of broken stones and even holes developing from settling graves that are not getting attention.
Something needs to be done to honor the veterans there, and other neglected cemeteries. We need to remember our American heroes and honor ALL of them.
