It’s Giving Tuesday…And Emerging Civil War Is

…officially a registered non-profit! It’s one of our exciting accomplishments for 2020.

So you might be thinking, why would I want the opportunity to donate to Emerging Civil War on Giving Tuesday? Well, it’s true that we run a “tight ship” and are all-volunteer operated at the moment, but we do have expenses to maintain, such as this website (and all its free content!) and some of the software we use to keep and improve your user experience.

For example, we routinely hear your requests for a more mobile-friendly blog and site (easier to use your on your phone or tablet). We’re at the drawing board trying to figure out how to safely upgrade the site and its over 5,000 blog posts! Changes, expertise, and continuing education for tech takes funding to be done successfully. (We are historians, not tech geeks—unfortunately.)

We appreciate your everyday support through reading, commenting, and liking the posts on Emerging Civil War. If you’d like to add a little more and help us move toward the next level of a user-friendly website, we’d be honored.
