From the ECW YouTube Page: A Tour of Pamplin Park

Earlier this summer, I had the chance to spend the day with my friend Tim Talbott at Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier in Petersburg, Virginia. Tim is the director of education and interpretation at Pamplin, and he was kind enough to show me around. We shot some videos over the course of the day, which we featured on the ECW YouTube page throughout August.

In case you missed the series, we wanted to give you a run-down of the 10-part series.

1) Series intro:

2) Inside the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier:

3) The Enslaved

4) Tudor Hall

5) Fortifications

6) USCT Exhibit

7) Earthworks

8) Breakthrough Battlefield

9) Hart Farm

10) Death of A.P. Hill

While you’re at it, please subscribe to the ECW YouTube page. We’d love to have you follow along. We include video versions of our podcast interviews and chats with historians, plus lots of on-location videos. Coming up in September, we’ll be visiting some sites related to Grant’s campaigns to take Vicksburg. And it’s all free. We hope you’ll join us!

  1. I enjoyed my visit to Pamplin, as Mr. Talbot said, other wonderful preserved battlefield locations are nearby. The videos have been excellent reminders of my visit.
