Our National Cemeteries: Winchester National Cemetery
In both 2022 and 2023, ECW members conducted in-depth research into Winchester National Cemetery in Winchester, Virginia. In addition to completing research into individual stories of soldiers who died in the Shenandoah Valley as well as the creation of the cemetery, ECW carried our a fundraiser in order to help provide wreaths. These wreaths were placed at the cemetery during the annual Wreaths Across America events, and donors provided a significant number of wreaths to be placed during the solemn ceremonies. Below are links to the articles sharing some of the research and personal stories uncovered during those efforts.
