Wounding of RamseurDuring the fighting at Cedar Creek, the Confederate Army of the Valley lost one of their ablest division commanders in Major General Stephen Dodson Ramseur. Although he did not witness the mortal wounding himself, James Taylor captured the event in his sketchbook.
